Our original plan of adopting this young lady of 13 was to give her a good home with everything she has been missing – comfort, companionship, puppy love, and a nice place to relax. Well, it turns out that we are getting more benefit than she is! As she joins our two other dogs in running the house, we’re learning a new outlook on senior life. She was supposed to just kind of hang out and enjoy her twilight time, but she definitely lets us know that’s not going to happen.

She plays in the yard, she likes her toys and she makes sure we know she’s always ready for treats with a well-timed “wuff”. She also loves to take naps and go for walks with us (and our two other dogs – she’s the one on the left in front) and seems to have fit right in with the whole family. We know she’s not a puppy but she sure tries to fool us.

If anyone who reads this has a chance to adopt a senior pug, we highly recommend it. For all of the good things that he or she will get from you, they will more than come back to you in what you will get from them.

Thank you, Maria, for rescuing such a sweet little girl. She’s a great addition and definitely a big part of our family!
