Kirby and Lily
It's been just over one year since we've found our forever home and our Mom is proud to admit that we are quite spoiled. We'll let Mom tell you our story....

In August of 2005, I lost Otis, my rescued pug, to old age. At the age of 16, he had led a happy (spoiled) life but was just too tired to continue his adventures. Friends were quick to suggest adopting another companion, but Otis and I had been best friends for so long. Then Hurricane Katrina struck and I started to rethink that soft spot in my heart. Meeting Kirby and Lily, I knew instantly that these two little characters had found their way into my heart. Although brother and sister, their personalities are like night and day. Kirby, the snuggler, loves to lounge on the couch and take naps with Mom. He does a silly dance to show you how happy he is when I come home from work and loves to attack my fingers when playing. Lily is the little toy hog and thinks that every grocery bag and sack that comes in the house has a new toy for her. She's quick to pull toys from her basket, one by one, to show new visitors her collection. Her biggest challenge comes when she has to decide which toy to take outdoors when she plays in the yard. It's amazing how my two best friends have turned a empty house into one full of love and laughter.
