Bella has already become one of the family. She is so wonderful, funny, and just adorable! She is gaining weight and coming out of her shell to reveal her sweet, playful self. Her favorite toy is a small stuffed dog. She sleeps with it in her mouth and snores around it.
There is nothing like the greeting she gives us after we've been away for even just an hour. She runs all over the house and back, celebrating the return of her people! Talk about a great welcome home! Bella really loves kids and she sleeps in my youngest daughter's bed each night. In the morning she makes the rounds to all of our rooms and greets each one of us with pug kisses!
Bella is making friends the rest of the family, too. She enjoys napping with Alex the cat and they are becoming fast friends. Chompy, our huge lab mix, still looks at her like she can't possibly be a dog. However, Bella seems to worship him, following him around during the day. It's fun to see her following behind him, under his tail cause he's so much taller. Bella is also figuring out that she doesn't have to listen to Magnum the parrot when he calls her name, which he learned about two days after she arrived. ;-)
What a wonderful addition to our lives Bella is! I am so glad that she needed us, because we are thrilled to have her as part of our family. Thank you Kelly, Maria, and Kay at Pacific Pug Rescue for bringing her into our lives. Bella seems to have had a long, tough journey as a stray, but she has found her forever home with us.
