Sadly, Samson recently passed away and his Mom shared this poem she wrote for him:

Ode to Samson

A kind and gentle spirit
Embodied in a pug

A sunny disposition
That smiled through with love

An exuberant puppy who laughed with glee An elderly statesman who reigned with dignity

May your graceful spirit
forever with us be

Just thought I would give you a quick update on the world's best dog! Thank you so much for sticking with me through the adoption process with Samson because I couldn't ask for a better companion. He is doing so well that I'm finding it hard to believe that he is 8 years old, other than his little grey beard. On Sat. I took him to the vet to get his nails cut and he was a model of good behavior. Once at the vet he greeted dogs, cats and people enthusiastically and didn't protest about getting his nails trimmed, so next time I'll do it myself. On Sun. I took him to the Farmer's Market in Milwaukie, which he also enjoyed.Thank you so much for offering to keep him during the holidays and I hope all is going well with Pacific Pug Rescue.
