We saved our first Bulldog, Rosie, from being placed in a shelter as her family was relocating and decided not to take her. At her age (almost 8) and being overweight we knew what her destiny would be in a shelter. So we thought we would share our love and invite her into our home. Well, were we in for a big surprise as she gave us far more unconditional love and companionship than we could have ever offered her. She especially took a close relationship with my husband, Donald. It's as if her heart beat when his heart would beat. They ate together, slept together, played together, etc. She was so laid back and fun to be with. The Lord really blessed our home when He allowed us to share our lives for five years with Rosie. When she died it left a huge hole in our hearts and we are so grateful for the fun times we had with her.

As Donald celebrates his "40th" birthday, I want to honor him with this memorial tribute to our sweet pal, ROSIE. "We will always love you girl!"
