My dearest Fuji,

I am so thankful you shared 11 years of your life with me. I can still close my eyes and see you at 8 weeks old. You were the most well-behaved pup I have ever had. Eleven years was not enough time together. My world shined just knowing I had you to come home to. We both watched as Andrew grew from a little 8 year old to a 19 year old. You were there when Nancy and Jacob were born. We shared all those wonderful times together. I will miss you. Home is not the same without you there.

You're free, my big boy, from any pain you had your last year of life. You never complained and you were down some days but up-beat up to the last moment you were home.

My big boy, I know you did not feel good most of the time, yet you smiled in your own way. I will never see you again in this lifetime, but I know you will be waiting for us when we get to heaven.

By now you are with Lucy, Misha, Tiffany and of course Scrappy. When I think of you everyday you put a smile on my face. Yet that smile quickly turns into tears and anxiety knowing I will not see you again any time soon. Fuji, thank you for the wonderful years we shared. We will miss you dearly. You will always be in my (our) hearts. Love You Forever -
